What is offered here and what it costs
An appointment with me is deliberately not a modular system: if an ultrasound or an ECG is needed, I perform it during the same appointment, and it is included in the price. You therefore do not pay separately for each examination. As a private physician (Wahlärztin), I bill privately. You can submit the invoice to your statutory health insurer, which will reimburse part of it. And where clinically indicated, laboratory costs are usually covered by your insurer in any case.
Service
Well looked after, all in one place
It matters to me that you feel well looked after. That is why as much as possible takes place in one location, sparing you additional journeys.
All in one place
Consultation, ultrasound and endoscopy with me; as an attending physician at Goldenes Kreuz, hospital admission if required.
Same-day appointments
Every practice day, for patients already under my care.
Endoscopy without a long wait
Appointments for gastroscopy and colonoscopy are usually available within about three weeks.
Ultrasound and ECG included
If an ultrasound or an ECG is needed, I perform it during the same appointment, at no extra charge.
Blood tests during your visit
I take the blood sample myself during the appointment. A separate visit to the laboratory is only needed if samples must be processed immediately or taken while fasting.
Grip strength testing in ME/CFS
Measured with a hand dynamometer following the Charité Berlin protocol, with a second round after one hour, it makes fatigability and recovery measurable. Included in the appointment.
Reachable in writing
Via Mein Arzt Online. Urgent medical queries are usually answered within two working days.

Frequently asked questions
Good to know
Do I need to fast before my appointment?
Not for an initial consultation. For a health check with a blood test and abdominal ultrasound, please do not eat anything after midnight; water and unsweetened tea are permitted. Before a gastroscopy or colonoscopy you will receive separate instructions.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Previous findings, doctors’ letters, laboratory results and a current list of your medication. You can also upload findings in advance via Mein Arzt Online, which leaves more time for our conversation during the appointment.
What does a same-day appointment cost?
Same-day appointments are intended for patients already under my care. They are charged like follow-up appointments, according to their length.
What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?
Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours in advance, by telephone, by e-mail or via Mein Arzt Online. For later cancellations or if you do not attend, we charge the full fee, as the appointment was reserved for you.
How can I pay?
In cash or by card at the practice. You will receive the invoice immediately afterwards.
Will my statutory health insurer reimburse any of the costs?
I am a private physician. You pay the invoice and submit it to your insurer, which reimburses part of it. How much depends on the insurer and the service. With supplementary insurance, the share is often higher; where clinically indicated, laboratory costs are usually covered by your insurer.
Where do gastroscopy and colonoscopy take place?
At the Goldenes Kreuz private hospital (Privatklinik Confraternität Goldenes Kreuz), Lazarettgasse 16–18, 1090 Vienna, usually on Monday mornings. The preliminary consultation takes place at the practice.
How do I obtain repeat prescriptions or referrals?
As an existing patient, most easily via Mein Arzt Online. Your request is then documented and processed directly.
How can I reach you with a question about my treatment?
Via Mein Arzt Online. Your request is then recorded in writing and can be dealt with without the detour of call-backs. We can be reached by telephone as soon as someone is available.
Which languages do you speak?
I see patients in English and German, from the first consultation to the endoscopy report.
